so much of judaism is bitterness and it’s not a bad thing!!! i love bitterness tbh it feels like home but there are backhanded blessings and this is why christians need to just. not.
Honestly, I am so much more comforted by “yeah, everything sucks, try to live well and make and share happiness as much as you can” than “life is good and sunshine and flowers for eternity (as long as you follow our specific beliefs)”.
