Fight Club has the opposite moral most stereotypical, self-identifying Fight Club Fans take from it and that annoys me. “We’re a generation of men raised by women” no! the whole point is that Brad Pitt is lying to Edward Norton, and he needs to deal with his own problems instead of projecting them onto society and he realizes this at the end of the movie and it’s a movie about the lies white males tell themselves to avoid confronting their own dissatisfaction. And that moral should hit these Fight Club Fans smack in the face, but it whizzes over their heads and they believe Tyler’s lies and Fight Club keeps this reputation as the go-to movie for entitled assholes.
